I would recomend The Shinning by Stephen King and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.
The Shinning was the second book (and first novel) I read by Stephen King and was just really enjoyable to read. Stephen King is one of my favorite writers, so it's just a classic in my opinion. The description is much better than the film, even though the film is one of my favorites.
The Kite Runner, which I read quite recently, is just a brilliant book. The sense of deep feeling and the different mood changes is really enjoyable to journey through.

I think a cure for cancer is what I would want the most. My grandmother died of it, and there is a hell of a lot of people dying from even at young ages, as I'm sure you know. It seems a bit ridiculous now, I think they need to find it soon.

It's getting a bit too hard though. >:( I used to be good at games like that. My Nintendo DS is getting neglected atm so I might improve a level on that. Luckily I only have one Sims game for that hehe.
My art work is finally coming along ok! My teacher has forced me to go through with the lessons until the ten hour exam, which I'm sure won't go well, and supposedly my coursework will improve it's score. :(

I concider myself to be a realist, even though I try not to be, reality is quite depressing at times. My mum tends to tell me it whenever I ruin her plans which she's thought out. I must like contradicting people. Maybe I strive to be correct too often.

Bored :( Nothing major to post really. I bought a new book today and tasted a new flavour of the Walker's crisps they've put on sale. Fish & Chips to be precise. Disgusting creation, tasted mostly like salmon! I mean, NO.

Woohoo new episode of Being Human is onlinee :D I'm a bit busy watching Red Dwaf atm. I am so dying to watch it though xDD

I'm thinking about dropping art. I must admit, I'm getting no where with it. I'm not doing the work so I apparently I'm going to get a low grade even if I carry on. I think I'm kinda ok with my art work, sometimes terrible, but I didnt think I would leave it this late and get left behind. She gave me a big talk about how I need to improve my game if I want to get this GCSE. I mean, I dont need this now! I've got fucking Spanish and Maths to deal with, not just art. Plus it's not even a proper subject! I didn't think it would be this stressful. I get really jealous when I see how beautiful other students work is, then look back at mine and think "Oh God... this needs bining." If I do drop it, I'll have a 3 hour gap in my timetable on Fridays with nothing to do. All my other teachers will probably be busy with younger students. Three hours sitting on my own. With nothing to do but probably read. I don't think I could handle three hours straight reading. I don't even know where I would even go!

I guess it's just one more GCSE I'm not gonna get.

Yay for me, nearly finished Twilight! I still don't have New Moon, will have to remember to buy it on Saturday if I go out :P

Really boring day. Compared to the day I was planning... So much for going to see Frost/Nixon eh, Natalie? Which reminds me, I didn't phone Sarah to tell her I wasn't going, she probably gathered. I watched the second installment of Being Human (even though I saw it last night :P) on the TV with my sister, it's a really good series, even though I've only seen the first two episodes. Best thing they've but on BBC Three in a long time, IMO. Well apart from the occasional hour of Family Guy. The BBC is trying to higher it's standards I surpose. Ugh, school. I haven't done any homework, but I done think any's due tomorrow. I amazed I actually stayed away from my computer for so long today :)

Went to town with my mum today :) Saw the new Egyptian wing, it was really cool. She bought me a necklace which had the Eye of Horus and like loads of earing. I took a few photos of Liverpool because I didn't take my camera for nothing! Just some pics of the Cavern Club and stuff. I think I might upload them soon. Just tried to talk Natalie into making herself a Livejournal, but she says she weird and can't make one because she "can't pour herself into a diary". I know like, no one on here. Oh well. :)

Just watching Being Human on BBC 3 :) Aidan Turner (Mitchell) is just amazing. I mean, he's Irish (!!) and a Vampire. & his eyes and hair are gorgeous <3 I think I might just watch it for him now xD (and Annie's fiancee reminds me of someone...) I actually had quite a good day today apart from my mother's moody-ness. I had a day off school because it was half day, no lessons. Feast Day apparently. Just charity events and to watch a movie. Talk about boring. I guess that's all since it's like 1.10 am haha. :D

GCSE tomorrow. I don't know how I'm coping. Everyone's like "don't worry, you'll do well" but I don't feel any more confident. I just hope (PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE) I'll do well.

I'm aimed for a D or E in my GCSE maths. Which I'm really not happy about, because I need to get a C to get into univercity, and if I don't get in then I won't become an Egyptologist. I'm starting to seriously doubt it, or even going to Egypt this year. If I do get a D then I get a chance to do the higher paper, which I could get a C for my final grade if I do well. I'm also failing in art because I'm seriously lacking in coursework. I drew a few pictures in my sketchbook but that seemed to stress me out more and I still have  A LOT more to get on with or I will fail. I'm just glad she didn't tell me out-right that I was going to fail, but she put me in her room to work and try to catch up. I really do hope I get a C because that's all I can get. No other option, or if I get less, I don't think I could cope. AND the fact I need to do my Spanish coursework by remebering each paragraph then writing it down on a seperate sheet. Great! More work I need to do, thanks school!

I felt awful about the Liverpool Woolworths store closing. I mean, it was the first store to be opened in the UK. I don't really wish any other chain was open right now, Woolworths was just an awful loss. It has been going for 99 years. :(

Watching America's Sweethearts (The movie...) :D (Haha, totally awesome name choice FOB!) Can't believe how many good actors that there are in this movie! Which reminds me I need to watch 1408 sometime soon :) and the fact that I need to see more John Cusak films! I listened to the soundtrack for Love in the Time of Cholera, which I still haven't seen (!!), and wow, it just beautiful. I'm reading again, yay. Happy about that, hehe. Random haha, and I also saved some awesome pictures. Like you wanted to know that LOL. :D
